Rebecca's parents were Guilford Turner (1820-?) and Charlotte Turner (1825-?) of Alabama and their children were: Emma (1852-?), Eliza (1854-?), Edith (1856-?), Turner (1858-?) and Patty 1867-1940).

Ed's parents were Johnson Simmons (1837-?) and Susan Williams (1833-?) of Alabama and their children were: Pete (1855-?), Mary (1858-?) James (1860-?), Harriett (1863-?), Nathan (1865-?) and John (1866-?)
